House name plaque could be like a logo for the business. To design one, it happens, is as much responsible job as designing the logo for business, it may last for a century!

It was worth to put an extra effort to design a sign which eventually become a company logo.
1. Site survey, measuring and taking a photograph
2. Proposing the most suitable signage solution – price estimate.
2. Design a lettering, symbols and colours accordingly to customer brief
3. Visualisation of the site – photograph with a “photoshoped” sign proposal on it.
4. Amendments and the final approval.
5. Production and fitting.
Go Green To win new Business
As the demand from customers for environmental performance guarantees gains momentum, sustainability is becoming less of a ‘nice to have’, and more of a business requirement. Your New Year resolution in 2013 may be to kick off with developing an environmental implementation policy for your business. Your process might begin with a simple policy document clearly communicated to staff and customers.
Establishing a sustainability policy should start you setting a series of defined objectives, along with a few milestones and deadlines for achieving them. Even relatively small steps to improve environmental performance could be the difference between winning and losing a new client or piece of business.
Fully adhering to the newest eco regulations may seem daunting. However, you can begin your eco journey by using products that are considerably kinder to the environment, for example Spandex’ ImagePerfect non-PVC materials are compatible with all eco-solvent and solvent inks, as well as UV-cured inks. They are highly versatile and can be used in an extensive range of indoor and outdoor signage applications. This PVC-free range is environmentally friendly and ideal for indoor promotional projects, such as exhibition displays, POS graphics, showroom signage decals and self-adhesive stickers.
These products offer the scope to pitch for work in environments such as retail food departments and hospitals where the use of products containing plasticizer is typically highly regulated. As happy outside as they are inside, the ImagePerfect range can produce excellent outdoor applications including billboards, allowing you to create eco-friendly signs that will last for up to two years. Unlike PVC, the eco-responsible materials do not release harmful dioxin, one of the most toxic substances known upon incineration. This allows for non-hazardous disposal and zero landfill. Spandex ImagePerfect materials also meet the stringent EU requirements concerning phthalate content in children’s toys and childcare articles.

Graphic design is almost everywhere. Crammed into our homes, all over our cities and dotted around the countryside, its images, letters, colours and shapes are consciously put together to perform all sorts of functions.
Its roles range from directing travellers to the right check-in desk at an airport, to organising the layout and style of a magazine so that it catches that traveller’s eye and makes them buy it to read on the plane. Graphic design on the ticket they buy for the car park may advertise other products or services. The carton of juice they take for the flight has information organised so its appealing and understandable. The safety instructions aboard the plane are designed so they are clear and accessible, even to people who don’t speak English. Graphic design art is also emblazoned across the hull and tail wing of the aircraft itself.

In 1930 the German Standard Committee settled upon DIN 1451 as the standard font for the areas of technology, traffic, administration and business. The Committee chose a sans serif font because it was thought to be legible, straightforward, and easy to reproduce. They did not expect the font would be used for advertisements and other “artistically oriented” purposes. Nevertheless, because DIN 1451 has been seen all over Germany on signs for town names and traffic directions, this font became familiar enough to make its way to the palettes of graphic designers and advertising art directors. Despite disagreement about its aesthetic qualities, the contemporary digital version of DIN 1451 has been adopted and used by designers in other countries as well, solidifying its worldwide design reputation.
Try it out for signage. DIN 1451′s industrial heritage makes it surprisingly functional in just about any application.
